September / October Weekly Yoga Classes
Getting down to the floor—and back up again—is a skill worth keeping.
This session is all about exploring the many ways our body can move through different levels while building strength, mobility and confidence. We’ll squat, lunge, push, pull, roll and play through transitions all while using support and modifications along the way.
Classes will approach the theme from different angles, giving you opportunities to discover what works for your body. Because getting down and getting back up isn’t about doing it one particular way—it’s about having options, feeling capable and moving with more ease.
Floor-based strength work to build upper-body strength, cross-body coordination and confidence moving from lying to standing
Yoga-based mobility and transitions moving through standing, kneeling, seated, all-fours, prone and supine positions to explore how the body organizes itself as we change levels
Balance, coordination and body awareness to build confidence when shifting weight, changing direction and finding the support you need to move well
Through this integrated approach, we’re not training one “correct” way to get down and back up. We’re building a toolbox of possibilities—because the way you move today may not be the way you move tomorrow, and having options matters.
This is strength you can use:
getting down on the floor—and back up
gardening, playing with kids or grandkids and everyday activities
recovering your balance or adapting when things don’t go as planned
moving through the world with more confidence and less hesitation
Get down. Get up. Find your way.
Each class caps at 6 participants.
All experience levels are welcome.
